Mountainside Jewelry is owned and operated by Amber Duncan in California, up in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where the pacific coast meets the redwood forest. Each piece is made and designed by Amber in her home or studio. The jewelry is inspired by Ancient jewelry and world cultures and created using a mix of metalsmithing, repurposing vintage materials, lapidary stone shaping, and lost wax casting. ** Mountainside makes every effort to process orders as fast as possible. Since Mountainside Jewelry is run entirely by one person and each piece is made by hand, please allow 2-8 weeks for your order to be processed. When items are already in stock, shipping should take place within the week. If your order is time sensitive, please contact me to make arrangements.

Sliced Stone Collection:
All of the Sliced Stone pieces should be worn and handled with extra care! The stones have been specifically chosen to use because of their unique, natural properties which feature unusual or rough texture, inclusions, and coloring that can differ from stone to stone. Many of the gemstones will crack, shatter or break if dropped or hit against a hard surface. Avoid contact with water or other liquids. Store and wear these pieces with that in mind. Please communicate this to customers purchasing sliced stone styles to ensure safe keeping. I will provide you with individual care cards to give customers with each Sliced Stone purchase.
Mountainside maintains an ALL SALES FINAL policy. Sometimes, returns are situational; please communicate all concerns within 30 days of receiving your purchase. The best effort is used to accurately describe/portray all items online; please ask any questions you may have about an item before placing your order. Please confirm appropriate sizing for rings or any other customized pieces prior to placing your online order. If for any reason you are not satisfied with an item, please contact email@example.com with an explanation.
Prices / Payment
Orders may be cancelled within 7 business days of the order placement. Canceled ordered result in a $70 penalty fee. Mountainside Jewelry reserves the right to adjust pricing depending on material cost fluctuations, specifically with 14k gold, gold-filled, and sterling silver. I accept payments via PayPal, Square, Credit card, Company Check or (rarely) Net 30 terms as established.
Mountainside's goal is to have a jewelry line that is as environmentally responsible as possible. A few low impact practices which are already in place include sustainably sourced metals and stones, recycled and biodegradable packaging and low waste production. Additionally, vintage "deadstock" chains, clasps, and other items are used whenever possible to avoid buying newly created materials. All metals are sourced from reputable companies in the USA and are nickel & lead free. Many of the stones and beads used are repurposed from found pieces as well as being cut, carved, drilled, and polished by hand at a Lapidary work shop. Mountainside Jewelry is a proud member of the Santa Cruz Gem & Mineral Society. Certain designs may vary eventually due to availability of materials (such as chains or beads). Due to the nature of repurposed materials - color, shapes, and markings may vary slightly. Specific measurements, chain lengths, and other such information are available upon request.
